Inspection
A one-on-one car seat inspection usually takes 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the car seat and the vehicle.
Installation
Installation service requires about 45 minutes to one hour. Our technicians make sure ever client feels competent and confident in re-buckling their child into his/her car seat. Check any technician's current certification, ask for proof!
During a Inspection or Installation, a competent CRST will:
- Fill out a checklist form (including carseat type, location in vehicle and any misused observations)
- Review carseat selection appropriate for your child's age, weight and height
- Review manufacturer's instructions and vehicle owner's manual
- Ensure proper seating position, especially when using UAS (LATCH)
- Check the appearance of carseat for any wear, damage or fraying
- Demonstate our "HANDS ON" installation techniques
- Have you installed carseat(s) correctly using seatbelt or UAS (LATCH)
- We discuss vehicle airbags, what is the law and the best practices for child passenger safety
- Answer any questions or concerns
